April 3rd 1958 - June 10th 2022

On Friday June 10, 2022, Dr. Rhonda Rhea transitioned peacefully in her sleep at her home in Silver Spring, Maryland. Dr. Rhonda Rhea was an accomplished Theologian, Thought Leader, Writer, Speaker & Innovator who helped Individuals and Organizations Find Their Authentic Voice. Dr. Rhea is 1980 graduate of Hampton Institute (Mass Communication), 1985 graduate of Howard University School of Law, and a 2014 graduate of Howard University School of Divinity(Mordecai Wyatt Johnson Presidential Scholar).
She is the proud mother of M. Carson Arrington Byrd, GMAIR and the sister of Monica L. Rhea and Donna Rhea & Malchijah Bailey. She is the proud aunt of Rhea Beckett, MFA and Camryn & Donovan Bailey. She is the daughter of the late Mr. James L. Rhea & Dr. Marlene Rhea (nee Smith), Maternal Granddaughter of Mrs. Alma Lee Woodruff and Paternal Granddaughter of Mr. Hurley & Mrs. Grace Carson Rhea Covington.
Dr. Rhea was a sister and mother figure to countless people throughout the world. She is the founder of Just Sister's Inc. and Kente Kid's doll collection. Dr. Rhea was an accomplished author on topics ranging from her spiritual journey through breast cancer and leadership to the Love poems of the late great Paul Lawrence Dunbar. She was a 19 year Breast Cancer Thriver. Monica, Carson and Rhea thank you for your love and support during this difficult time of transition. We love you and pray that our Rhonda's life was an example of Faith and Triumph to inspire you all.
